The Malt Shed started as a short lived column in The Staten Island Advance back in September of 2011. It has since become my platform for talking about beers that have inspired me and for anything that I personally find beer relevant.
In 2012 my family & I chucked our life in NYC and I moved to Tamarack Farm, a family farm in which my wife Caroline grew up on. Inevitably my pontificating about beer has morphed into farm life, beer and the marriage of the two.
Sometime this Spring (in between lambs being born) We will be launching TamarackFarmstead.com and all of my activity around the farm life and brewing will come together as one..
